This is our story...

Born from a vision to provide an event that cultivates professional relationships, creates networking opportunities, and provides quality training and development for professional women, the first female-focused summit, simply called the Professional Women’s Summit, was held on November 7, 2019, at Artifacts Gallery in downtown Farmington, the HeART of our community. The summit was a success selling out at a capacity of 55 attendees.  While there are a number of events and networking opportunities in the Farmington area, there wasn’t anything specific to address the unique challenges professional women sometimes encounter. The Farmington Chamber of Commerce changed that and not only created an event for learning but a judgment-free environment where professional women could lean on and learn from one another.     The following year, the pandemic hit but event organizers were determined to keep the momentum going and held a second summit—virtually. Another success!   In it's third year, the summit took on a whole new look and location. The 2021 Four Corners Professional Women’s Summit was held at the beautifully remodeled Farmington Civic Center in downtown Farmington. The event was a success with over 250 attendees, raving reviews, and immediate inquiries for the next summit.    This recently updated venue is home to the Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre and Teen Voices and has welcomed numerous performing artists through the years, including hometown celebrity Chevel Shepherd.   Past summit presenters include Sarah Swindell, author and wife of former Major League Baseball Player Greg Swindell; professional comedian and motivational speaker Stephanie McHugh, and inspiring local professionals Addie Betancourt, director of sales for Home2Suites, and Sheila Mathews, president and CEO of Four Corners Community Bank.    The summit has become a premier professional event in the area and quickly sells out.
